Pictures from Outside Heath Ledger’s Death Scene in Soho, NY
So after I heard the news earlier that one of my favorite actors Heath Ledger was found dead this afternoon, I rushed over to the scene. Sadly, my travel time is determined by how fast or slow or frequent the NYC subway runs and therefore, I got there JUST after they took his body out, around 6:30pm. I did manage to get in on the action a bit. I caught the interviews with building superintendent Tamba Mossa and Deputy Police Commissioner Paul Browne, which my kick ass boyfriend posted as updates for me as I bossily dictated by phone.
The scene was pretty intense, there were tons of reporters, photographers, police officers and fans. Here are some pictures, but there’s more after the jump:

I am completly devestated by Heath Ledgers death. What a tremendous loss of a wonderful actor. As movie goers we pay to see these talented actors and we watch their career. In some weird sense it almost feels as if we know them and when this kind of thing happens it hits pretty hard.
