Lindsay Lohan, Mink Thief?
Oh, this one’s GREAT. Lindsay Lohan is being accused of stealing borrowing a Columbia University student’s $11,000 blond mink coat. 22-year-old Masha Markova was attending a private birthday party for a friend of Lohan’s ex Stavros Niarchos at Meatpacking District club 10ak. Markova says she was sitting next to L.Lo at one point and put the mink in a common bin with other jackets (Mistake #1). The jacket was gone when she left the club, but a picture of Lindsay in the Feb. 11 edition of OK! magazine photographed the night the mink was “lost” showed the actress wearing it!
According to Markova, “I was actually talking on the phone to my grandmother about something else, and then I flipped through the magazine, saw the picture said, ‘I need to call you back.’ It was my coat. It was no doubt!”
After further investigation, the student found several paparazzi pics of Lindsay wearing the same coat hours after the birthday party ended. Pictures of her party-hopping that night showed she was wearing a black coat before she got to 10ak (See pictures below). After being blown off by club owners, Markova’s lawyer called Lindsay’s lawyer and threatened to take legal action. Hours afterwards, 10ak called and cryptically told her, “We’re going to bring you something.” Smelling of booze and cigarettes with a slight tear in the lining, the mink coat showed up at her apartment 2 days later.
Markova had it dry-cleanned and sewn up, but she and her lawyer are demanding Lohan pay at least $10,000 for the “unauthorized, three-week rental.”
