Kathy Griffin Marries New York Couple
Kathy Griffin rocks. Not only is she hilarious in My Life on the D-List, banned from “The View,” and making video blogs with Rosie O’Donnell, but now she’s marrying people! Griffin was ordained as a minister through an online church to officiate the wedding of two fans, Brian Anstey and Elka Shapiro on Saturday.
“The request came in, and how could I say no?” Griffin, 47, told the Daily News. “I love that this couple just want to have fun. They’re my kind of people.”
The comedienne flew in from Los Angeles to perform the ceremoney at the Queens County Farm Museum, which lasted 10-minutes. During the service, she told raunchy jokes and had the bride recite the reception menu. Fans can see the ceremony when it airs on My Life on the D-List in June.
Ha ha, that’s awesome! Who here would let Kathy marry them?
