“Daily News” publisher upset; “Post” reports the story
In more book news, “Daily News” publisher Mort Zuckerman is said to seething over a new memoir by Edward Kosner, a former editor at the paper, that has him portrayed as “a tight-fisted, mercurial meddling owner with no feel for the paper and its readers”. And now he’s trying to get certain portions of the book changed during pre-publication.
The “NY Post” has a long list of errors found in the memoir, but none of that compares to this assertion made my Kosner, which of course had to be part of the article.
And while Zuckerman pretended to look down at The Post, he jealously longed to copy it, insisted Kosner. “Nothing could really quench Zuckerman’s thirst for somehow injecting some of that Post sass into his pages,” writes Kosner.
Nothing like a paper patting its own back while delivering the news.
